Alok Masterbatches launches new range of fully bio-degradable compounds at Plastivision

At Plastivision 2020, which recently concluded in Bombay, Alok Masterbatches launched Envoplast, its new range of fully bio-degradable compounds and solutions. Envoplast range offers fully compostable solutions for diverse applications giving an alternative to conventional polyolefinic textile.

"Sustainability is now an important consequence and with Envoplast we are launching a production to accost the upshot. We have compounds that go directly into the diddled pic line. Customers volition not have to invest in whatever new engineering for Envoplast," said Amit Puri of Alok Masterbatches.

Envoplast range of products (masterbatches and compounds) is based on biopolymers and naturally occurring materials just. Envoplast compounds are mainly developed for film, injection and thermoforming applications. Its applications include disposable products, garbage bags, bubble moving-picture show wraps, carry bags, slips and pouches and tableware, among others. The Envoplast colors were launched at 1000 2022 but the compounds were officially launched during Plastivision 2020.

Puri said that for solutions like Envoplast to become widely accepted in the market, a push needs to come from the make owners.

"In the absenteeism of whatever articulate regulations, a push button towards sustainable compounds will have to come up from brand owners who care about sustainability. They are the ones who will drive the demand," he said.
